Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park
Good news! The Driver Era are headed back out on tour this year, but this time, they come bearing gifts! Their fourth studio album, Obsession, was just released on April 11th, and now, they’re gearing up for a headlining tour spanning over two dozen cities countrywide. The Driver Era is a pop rock duo formed from the bones of former pet project of the Lynch family, R5. R5 was a band much like The Driver Era in sound, consisting of five members including Ross and Rocky Lynch, who would later go on to form the latter after the former group dispersed. Now, The Driver Era is coming out swinging with an all new record and headlining dates throughout the country. Catch them when they light up the Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park.
Pop rock sibling quintet R5, the band that birthed The Driver Era, almost stopped before it even started. The release of their debut album was put in reverse when singer and guitarist Ross Lynch was cast in the role of Austin Moon in the hit Disney Channel series Austin and Ally. Eventually though, they were permitted to release music, and release it they did! By the time the band came to an end, they had already released two albums and five EPs. Now, their successor, The Driver Era, is coming to select cities around the country in support of their latest album. They’ll be at the Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park on June 3rd, so be there!
After R5 withered away into nothingness, The Driver Era was born. The band consists of brother Ross Lynch and Rocky Lynch, and fans can’t get enough of their funky pop rock sound. They got off to a slow start initially, with months between each new single release. But once they built some momentum, there was no stopping them. Their newest record, Obsession, is their fourth album to date, so don’t miss it. They’ll be performing hits off the new album in question alongside all their previous hits, so grab your tickets while you can! Seriously, this is a can’t-miss show if there ever was one. The Driver Era is in their world domination era. Riding the high of their recent successful album release, the duo is set to embark on a massive headlining tour for much of the year. The first show will be at the Armory in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Saturday, May 31st, and the fun will come to a bittersweet end on July 18th at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California.
