Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park
Step back in time to the 80’s this summer when iconic British synth-pop pioneer, Howard Jones, brings his "Things Can Only Get Better" Tour to the fabulous Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday, 7th August 2026.
Jones will be joined on stage by fellow 80s acts Wang Chung, The English Beat and Modern English as special guests. They will each play a full set, with Jones then returning to the stage to play huge run of hits - like ‘Things Can Only Get Better’, ‘What Is Love?’, ‘No One Is to Blame’ and more. The crowd will then be treated to more classic 80s synth-pop songs from ‘Dance Hall Days’, ‘Self Control’ and many more from the incredible four decade long career of Jones as he takes his audience on a tour of his amazing hit songs from the era of great sound and vision of the 80s.
His 1984 debut album Human’s Lib reached the UK Top 10, within a decade the synth-pop innovator had 15+ Top 40 singles in 4 decades and is still actively making and touring with his music today.

It’s going to be an exceptional evening of legendary 80s hits when Howard Jones brings his "Things Can Only Get Better Tour" to the Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park on Friday, August 7, 2026. Fans will be able to enter the venue as early as 6:30 PM with the show starting at 7 PM.
Other legendary 80s acts will join Jones as special guests, including Wang Chung, The English Beat and Modern English. All of the participating acts will perform full sets, with the trek visiting over 20 North American cities throughout the summer of 2026 including stops in Napa, Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin and Indianapolis. Richard Blade of 80s alternative rock fame will host the tour featuring a carefully curated mix of feel-good 80s music to entertain fans of all ages.
Howard Jones is a legendary British keyboard player, who has been a major figure in the world of positive, optimistic, synth-heavy pop for over four decades. As the lead singer and keyboard player with his band, Jones has been touring since the early 80’s and has written many classic songs such as “Things Can Only Get Better,” “What Is Love,” “New Song,” “No One Is to Blame,” and “Like to Get to Know You Well” to name a few. His first album, Human’s Lib was released in 1984 and reached #1 in the UK, his second album, Dream Into Action was released in 1985. With over 15 top 40 hits and several top 10 songs and albums in the UK, Jones is truly the 80’s positive pop icon.
The two members of Wang Chung, Dave Ball and Nick Ball, are both from England. After achieving success with their New Wave and 80s Rock songs like “Everybody Have Fun Tonight” and “Dance Hall Days” as well as many other songs by the duo, they were apart of the many acts of the 80s’ British invasion making their way to the United States to reach the top of the charts in the American pop charts.
The English Beat and Modern English round out this incredible show of 80’s new wave and pop rock music. With a diverse repertoire of songs by both groups, fans of both acts will be treated to a unique array of songs by two very special groups. It's 80's mayhem, for sure.
The Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park is located in downtown Indianapolis. A unique outdoor venue located within the urban park of White River State Park, Everwise is an ideal venue for concerts and performances that take place in a beautiful downtown setting.
